Toyota Tundra Highlift 4×4 3 Speed

This model incisively shows off the Tundra’s modern looks and it is outstanding capacity to take on any terrain with it is splendid drive system. Tamiya’s truck model of the Tundra comes as an accurately reproduced Double Cab version. Furthermore, this model Tundra comes with option constituents permitting the user to raise the body in the same manner as the actual pick-up truck.

Note: The car needs a 4 channel radio, ESC, battery and charger to make it work.

When you troubleshoot the check engine light of a 2002 Toyota Tundra, approach it by using an OBD2 scanner which is indicated for this vehicle. On most generic scanner, it may be employed on most brands of vehicles and if you don’t specify if to be good for this 2002 Toyota Tundra, you might not get the right fault codes.

To fix the 2002 Toyota Tundra fault codes, please do not forget the following:

1.) The diagnostic connector for this vehicle is located on the right side of the steering column, underneath the instrument panel.

2.) This vehicle model uses a two-trip detection analysis in which the fault code stored in the memory will not be flashed in the dash panel. Instead, it will be flashed only on the 2nd time the fault code is detected. This ordinarily happens when you are using a generic scanner but it won’t occur if you or the garage is using the authorized Toyota scanner.

3.) This Toyota Tundra model likewise uses “Freeze Frame Data” scheme in which the actual engine condition components are displayed in the generic scanner when the fault code appears. These constituents ordinarily include the engine temperature, the vehicle cruising speed and others sensors specs affiliated to the fault code. This data is very essential in pinpointing the suspected circuit or wiring causing the code. However, in case there are multiple codes showing in the generic scanner, the data described here only applies on the original code that shows up. This will prevent the user from toggling amongst codes for other data that may lead to confusion.

Troubleshooting TIPS:

The most mutual fault code of this 2002 Toyota Tundra model is the failure of the 4 oxygen sensors. If you have a 4.7L engine, two of these sensors are located at the engine exhaust manifolds and the other 2 behind the catalytic converters. In case these sensors are your fault code, contact your Toyota merchandiser right away for it might be covered underneath the vehicle’s warranty. This is peculiarly unfeigned if the vehicle has beneath 100k mileage. However, if the vehicle has no coverage and you have to the fix the problem yourself, try these:

1.) Measure the oxygen sensor signal voltage as conveyed by an authorized vehicle wiring diagram. The sensor exhaust manifold voltage reading will have to be oscillating amidst 0.1 volt to 0.9 volt. A fluctuation divergence of 0.5volt to 0.7volt is considered normal and no fluctuation gives evidence of a wrong oxygen sensor.

2.) When measuring the rear oxygen sensors at the catalytic converter, the voltage reading fluctuation must be less because these sensors are use to monitor the muffler efficiency. Any fluctuation of around 0.2volt to 0.4 volt is considered normal.

3.) If the front exhaust manifold sensors are found defective, make sure the exhaust manifold itself is not leaking or cracked. Unless the manifold is fixed, the new oxygen sensors installed will fail again.

4.) Unless you have experience in testing electrical components, it is highly commended to get an online mechanic assistance when working on these oxygen sensors. A simple fault such as wrong use of electronic diagnostic tools may harm the engine computer.

If you may utilize these techniques, you ought to be competent to fix most of your check engine light 2002 Toyota Tundra fault codes.

5Awesome kit, only for the experienced modeler.
By slasher
This is my second kit from Tamiya, and the quality of the product is just as great. The other kit I have is the 2009 BMW M3 with the LED lights. The Tundra kit in all probability has with regards to 3 times as a lot of pieces at that one. You have to be mechanically inclined and have much longanimity in order to put this one together correctly. I highly commend getting the ball bearings for dandier drivetrain efficiency. I have expended with regards to as cash on it on upgrades as I have on the kit itself. A new pro motor and esc from Tekin, a 4 channel radio/receiver from RC4WD, paint, ball bearings, and lots of hours late at night after the wife and kids are asleep. It’s taken me a month to get it all together but it was worth it to see the final product. Highly recommended.

So much fun, exceptionally while assemblage but very difficult. If you think it is expensive, think again coz you’ll spend so much cash on the little stuff which didn’t take place to you before eg paint, hop-ups, etc
