Developed from the F-15 air superiority fighter, the 2-seat Strike Eagle is an exceedingly versatile deep interdiction strike aircraft, which still retains it is air-to-air capability. Features: Recessed panel lines, Sidewinder missiles and radar pods, waterslide decals. Skill Level 2-requires paint and glue (not included). In the years since Operation Desert Storm, the F-15E has substituted the F-111 Aardvark as the essential fighter-bomber in the U.S. Air Force. Using it is LANTIRN (Low Altitude Navigation and Targeting, Infrared for Night) pods and other sophisticated avionics systems, it has the capability to deliver all types of traditionalisti ordnance as well as the most sophisticated “smart” weapons in the inventory. Best Revell Kit Ever Made

This is not an exageration – the quality of this kit is utterly superb and without apparent effort on par with anything Tamiya or Hasegawa has to offer at half the price. My only gripe with this kit is that it does not come with any ordinance besides the sidewinder missiles – c’mon, it’s a strike eagle! Again, great quality, each fit is spot-on, and a price that can’t be beat. The only other Revell kit that comes close is the 1/48 Rafale, which is also of great quality.

Amazing quality at half the price of the competition

I have been building plastic models for some time now. I have tried various name brands, all splendid quality, but Revell makes kits of equal, if not better, quality at half the price of the competition. This model in particular, I have seen other similar 1:48 scale F-15s that trade for at least twice the price of this one. The instruction sheet is clear, the painting guide precise(specifies the color, brand and number of the paints) and the decal sheet is fabulously elaborate and accurate. As for the model itself, I have built Revell kits in the past and fitment has never been an issue. The fitments are always right on the dot. Not a single piece out of place. You will in all probability need a good deal of supplemental instrumentation and furnishes for those tricky details, but other than that, it has been a very gratifying build.

Greast fun to build and play

My son and I had outstanding fun building this model. He exhaustively enjoyed playing with it. We would commend this model to others, it is a little more difficult than the skill level 2 conveyed on the package as there are some fine details and decals that require careful attention. Overall a great toy.
