Excellent Quality
By Jonathan
This product is of superior quality, Tamiya makes fantastically elaborate and precise models that are a pleasure to build. You may see my client images above with this model finished using a camouflaged paint scheme. I was likewise delighted when I found out the Panzer also comes with three figures – commander, driver and loader. The poses are as seen in the main photo. The model turned out much better than I had expected. I gave it a 3/5 for durability just because it is a model, and not genuinely built to be thrown around and is endemically fragile. I would say it is very instructional as it has a decent length blurb on the history of the vehicle, and one may learn a lot from just building the model. Overall a suitable investment.

Model Builder
By J. C. Bednar
This is a model kit of the German Panzer IVD. The kit basi appeared in the 1970′s. Back then, Tamiya’s kits had little motors that you could build and place inside the kit to make it move around. This kit does not have that little motor but it still has the holes in the hull where the switch stuck out. The kit has with regards to 150 parts. The kit is a somewhat good representation of the Panzer IVD and the quality of molding is gorgeous good for such an old kit and parts fitting is surprising good for such an old kit. There are 3 figures (commander, driver, loader) and their aspect is not up to modern standards (they definately appear “toy-like”). The figures have the early war head gear (beret-style) which dates this models intended diorama intents for the Polish campaign, French campaign, or Yugoslov campaign. You likewise get the suitable decals for each campaign. I chose the Polsih effort decals, just for something different. Track shoes are the rubber band type with detail on both sides. Instruction sheet has a beauteous lengthy history of the development of the Panver IV series of tanks as well as the early WW II campaigns. Back then, Tamiya ensured you learned regarding the dissimilar kits you were building. Price for this old kit is reasonable, around $22.00 – $25.00, but alot of the sideline shops (stores or on-line) for galore reason like to un-necessarily increase the price just because it is a Tamiya kit. This is likewise a good kit for young persons to build who are just starting to learn how to build model kits. NOTE- this is not a toy, it is a kit you ought to build and is intended for static display. There are a good deal of little constituents that are easy to break or break off from the kit.

Very elaborated kit for intermediate level modelers
By M. Wang
With 250 pieces, this is one of the more elaborate kits amid Tamiya’s 1/35 series. The quality is superb. All pieces fit well together without bending. Feathers are closely nonexistent and trimming is necessary primarily where the pieces meet the sprue.
I built this set as a youngster decades ago with wire remote-control power kit. Unfortunately, that option does not appear to be available in the US in recent years. After I finished the tank this time, various pieces still sit on the sprue unused. These are presumably designed for the power kit. Regrettably, I had followed the instruction booklet and installed the version of idler wheels that do not rotate freely in position. As a result, the tracks can not move.
Tamiya ordinarily numbers the pieces sequentially while on sprue, making them easy to find as opposed to Revell’s random-order placement. But C72 of this kit sits amidst C18 and C22, implying that this is a revised or simplified version. It would be nice to see the firstborn powered version offered again.
